We did a complete kitchen remodel this year. Everything came out, old 1970’s cabinets, dark brown sink, dated light fixtures, tile floor and old broken appliances. We demoed down to studs and sub floor. We bought all new Kraftmaid cabinetry – Ashbury Maple Miter with furniture grade plywood construction. We moved the plumbing from the wall to the island, replaced all the appliances with Kenmore Elite Stainless steel appliances, laid a new 3 1/2″ wide solid maple floor with a dark warm finish. New tile backsplash with medalion accents. All new lighiting fixtures, new doors and new trim. I hired a plumber for the rough lines in the crawl space and a tile installer for the tile backsplash. The new Quartz countertops were also installed by professional installers. I did all the rest of the work myself with the help of a friend. He and I did all the demo, electrical, installed all the cabinets, the flooring, connected all the plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, molding trim, doors, etc.
My wife and I love our new kitchen and could not be happier with the transformation.
