A full restoration of a late 1800’s home in Tiverton, RI. The house had been abandoned for 3 years and should have been torn down, but due to my budget restraints and thick, rose-colored glasses, I restored it. I made my kitchen cabinets with birch plywood carcasses and salvage pine face frames. The drawer boxes are solid maple with dove-tailed corners and faced with old pine. For the finish carpentry, I primarly used salvaged materials and milled old lumber for cabinetry and trim. I fabricated and installed a soapstone counter, which allowed me to add my own artistic details including a curve design by the refrigerator.
