My Wife and I Bought a 1923 2 + 1 California Bungalow in need of a lot of love. With some elbow grease and the help of FHB we tackled the kitchen first. Peeled through 5 layers of linolium (no asbestos), Knocked out and moved a wall, reallocated a breakfast nook for a small master bath, added a pantry and a pass-through to the living room, refinished the old growth DF floors and put in custom cabinets with soapstone countertops. Still need to apply some finishing touches, but since we do it all ourselves it has to happen inch by inch
