Ipe deck with Prairie Style Railings. The deck is relatively small (14’x16′) compared to some on here. I ordered extra deck boards and ripped down to 1″ widths to make the rail parts. The rail cap was a stock piece. I wrappped the timber posts with shaker style panels also made from excess deck boards.

handrails look nice
Very, very nice.
Ed
I would love to try and replicate this railing for my deck
Can you give me some insights on how you guilt the balusters?
The horizontal connecting sections specifically.
How did you attach them?
They are not structural so is it only glue?
I want to avoid any visible screws/nails (toe connections)
I appreciate your reply...
Love the way you handled the posts and corners, great idea
