Turning a pipe clamp into a tool that can push instead of just clamp
I was installing a new small porch floor onto the back of my Mom’s rowhome after the old one had started to rot away badly. During the course of the installation, I needed a way to push a crooked porch floor board into position prior to fastening it from below. So I converted my pipe clamp by flipping up the jaw wiith the crank and placing an appropriately sized scrap piece of lumber into postion as shown in my photo. Then by cranking on the handle that lower jaw pushes the floor board as needed effectively using the brick wall to push against. It couldn’t have worked better,
