My sawhorses are nice and compact, can be cut on, and are made from 100% salvaged material and scrap. The bevel angle for the leg cuts is 20 degrees, and they are roughly 26 inches in length. I stand on both the braces and the top comfortably. 2 with a plank make a great stage for celing work. The one in the picture is about 3 years old and still holding up great.

The DIY centers are full of composite brackets into which you insert 4X2. Great except they take up space. The folding saw horse is a good idea. Thanks for sharing your ideas, especially the angles and length.
