With the acquisition of a new and larger TV we needed somewhere to put it. The brick fireplace that covered the entire width of one wall detracted from the appearance of the room. Plus, we needed more storage space, display area and book shelves. The solution was a floor to ceiling entertainment center that covered two walls.
The unit was constructed of alder and birch plywood. The doors were finished with Clear Satin Minwax Rubbing Poly and the af the assembly with Satin Hydrocote Resisthane. The equipmet Rack pulls out and swivels for access to the rear of the equipment. Likewise, the TV platform utilizes an Accuride TV Pullout. The fireplace is still functional but the brick has been hidden behind the paneling.
