Trex deck w/glass rail
This is a Trex deck with glass railing that I just finished in October of 2009, I was still waiting for the custom glass railing on the stairs when I took these pictures and it snowed before I was able to take pictures of the completed project. The entire railing is wired with lighting and the columns and drop beams are to be painted next spring.
As a 15 year veteran deck builder, I sure do see alot of good quality work on this site.
Something new:
I am offering my new invention “The StairGuide” for those of you who have a hard time figuring out stairs.
It offers the maximum and minimum rise at any given height up to 12′-8″ with the exact rise. With multiple number of riser options that you choose up to 19 rise. for example: if your total rise was 7′ 2-1/4″ then you chose the number of risers you want starting at 11 rise up to 19 rise, with the exact rise between 4″-8″ depending on your city codes. It also gives you the total run with options between 10″-12″ and if you build your stairs with a 10″ run, which is most common, then it gives you the angle of your staircase for easy rail assembly. “The StairGuide” is in laymen terms so that everyone can use it.
At www.thestairguide.com I also have a 5 part video series explaining how to build a Cedar 17 rise staircase with a closed riser and closed stringer. (very informative) It also has the material list required and the tools required. This site will be operational around the last week of January.
Enjoy and thanks for taking the time to look..
