This pair of bench hooks gets a ton of use for cutting miters, square crosscuts and other random tasks with a handsaw or hand plane. I don’t have a shop at home but when I need to install some trim or accomplish some other random home improvement task that requires cross cutting in a straight line, I hook one of these over my kitchen countertop and get to work.
The bench hook for my small handsaw has slots to cut at 90 degrees and 45 degrees in both directions. The other bench hook has a low fence and is nice for more free-form cuts. They work well with any type of hand saw.
Of course, I’m not eligible to win this contest but I figured I’d share anyway…
