Chasing LEED Certification in Canada
I would like to share with you the story of our first home; which we have designed and built ourselves with the end goal of a net-zero, LEED certified permanent residence. Overlooking Last Mountain Lake, Sk. Canada, ICF construction was a easy choice to combat our extreme temperature swings. 2 living(green) roofs, grey and rain water collection, 3kW solar PV (grid-tied), passive solar design, polished concrete floors, and reclaimed timbers from various local grain elevators combine to create a home that is both durable and environmentally responsible.
