We were in need of a place to store our summer lawn & garden furniture so I decided to build a ‘storage building’. My wife and I decided that we didn’t want just any old ‘shed’ but something that looked nice in the yard. This is what evolved and we call it “the cottage”! We have a small bistro set for the small deck and we often have ‘happy hour’ while watching the sun set. The windows and door are all recycled from two neighbors renovations. We get so many comments from friends, neighbosr and relatives about how cute it is!

STORAGE? YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING I WANT TO LIVE IN IT.....WISH I HAD ONE, IT IS SO SWEET....
I entirely second @mvjon! It's so difficult these days to find storage units that are aesthetic and can be kept on our own premises that look as neat and livable as yours does! There are a lot of other options for self storage in Brisbane but construction of something like this really deserves applause!
Just because it is a storage shed does not mean it has look like one. If there is enough space it can also easily pass off as a guest room!
I have to agree with them! You can turn your “cottage” into a sweet little abode anytime! It looks so incredibly cozy that I am pretty sure anyone wouldn’t mind living there instead of wasting it away for storage purposes. Great job and I really applaud you for the tremendous effort to make it lively instead of any other dull and boring sheds you often find in your neighbours’ backyards. I think I could copy your idea to build a playroom for my nephews and nieces when they come over.
