I learned this quick, often free and easy anchor from and old cabinet installer and used it to fur out a block wall in my kitchen in order to run new electrical, and block for cabinet installation.
Drill a 3/16 hole through the piece to be attached to the block or concrete and into the concrete a little deeper than the screw you intend to use. Put a piece of plastic coated 12 gauge copper wire into hole (cut wire a little shorter than the screw) and simply drive a #8 screw into the hole and be amazed at the strength of the wedge anchor that you have just created.
