Hi. My name is Cliff Audet and I wanted to enter this porch that my crew and I built for my own house. The old porch was rotten beyond repair, so when we replaced it using the same details, we added 1 foot to the width. We also decided to wrap it around the corner and run the length of the gable end wall also. The bulkhead had to be extended out to the edge of the new porch wall. The screened in part has removable glass sashes that can be traded out for screens in the warmer months. When not in use, the screens or glass store in a closet built for them right on the porch. The cedar railing joinery is half lapped. The header beam at the radius is laminated pine bent over a form. The curved railings are cut. The decking is 1×4 mangaris pie cut around the radius. The gingerbread detailing is individual pieces of 1/2″ cellular pvc with hand cut flower cutouts.

Cliff Audet, owner of Three Oaks Construction is my son and through the years has become a excellent carpenter, cabinet maker, and designer. The detail on his porch shown here is truely a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. He has done others with outstanding detail, but this one realy is outstanding in design, detail, reproduction, and workmanship. This porch is a winner!
