Exterior Trim On House Remodel & Addition

Added a 2 car garage with upper and lower floors behind it to our existing house.  Vinyl siding, vinyl shakes, and vinyl bead board.  Cultured stone.  Extensive use of cedar style trim boards.  Boxed in deck supports.  Corbels with wedge inserts to prevent bird nests.  Craftsman style columns.  Deck with hidden gutters.

Now working on the deck railing.

    any tips on how to cut the trapezoidal column with bevel edge?

    What I mean by bevel edge is that the edge of the trim is beveled to fit with the adjoining one as opposed to just a ninety degree butt seam edge.
