Funky Kitchen Remodel
Kitchen for my artist mother, she had been stuck in the early seventies, so I designed a new layout with an island and built new cabinets, she could not be more pleased with the end result. My father enlarged the room, taking space from what used to be the dining room. I designed and built all the cabinets from scratch, and built the island with some walnut and some copper we got from a local roofing company. I found the backsplash tile online, and we trimmed out the ceiling soffit in copper we had leftover from the island.

You can call it funky. I call it cool! Good use of found material. I like the raw edge on the stone counter top. This is my kind of kitchen. Judging from the number of electrical outlets around the counter i would also say it's a very functional and practical design. Good job ! 131 shapes really thinks outside of the box.
Wow - it may not appeal to everyone, however material choice and integration are exquisite! Lots of character, unique and a bit esoteric - Workmanship from photos shown appears top-quality. I would love to see this kitchen personally. Good work.
