This miter stand/table is about ten years old. It is made with a single 4×8 sheet of 1/2 ply, 1×1 pine to brace the corners, a diagonal oak brace underneath and some sturdy yet inexpensive store bought legs. Having a table to work on is nice and the holes make clamping and carrying easy. The top is screwed on so it can be replaced, though it never has been. It is built to accept 2x stock to slide in on the ends for more length if needed. I don’t want to put more than 150 lbs. on the table so as not to bend the legs, I’d use saw horses for heavy stock anyway. I would not change anything to this stand/table if it meant adding weight. The way it is suits my needs well.

Great saw setup - and I love the ability to make something from a single sheet of ply.
