I don’t have room to store my tools anywhere except my truck, so I needed a table that could collapse down and fit into my full-length pickup truck. It started out as stand that I bought at the local home center, and that is what the table itself sits on. The general stand is not very good at supporting various lengths of stock as you must continually adjust the wings in and out. With the home made top that is no longer a problem as you have solid support four feet to the left and two feet to the right. For longer stock you will need additional roller supports, but for most work the table is fine by itself. T-track slots allow the use of many jigs and accesseries including the deluxe hold down clamps from Rockler. A great feature if you have to scribe baseboard, or anything else, as these clamps stay out of the way as you cut the material. Also good for holding baseboard down as you cope it. The stop block allows for repeatable cuts which is great for cutting cabinet styles and rails to consistent sizes and is easy to use with the self-stick tape measure on the table top.
The bottom is 1/2″ OSB with brackets from the stand bolted to it for attachment to the stand. The uprights and top are 3/4″ Poplar and go back just beyond the fence of the saw. I needed to add a piece of Oak to the underside of the OSB as the weight of the saw causes the OSB to sag in the middle. The piece of Oak, or any piece of sturdy wood, supports the weight allowing for a straight transition from saw to table. The Poplar risers are attached to the table top with pocket hole screws so there aren’t any screw heads to scratch your stock. The risers are placed even with the screw locations of the T-track jig. I didn’t at the time, but I will eventually dado a small section for the self-stick tape measure so that it sits flush with the top of the table instead of slightly above it. The table works good for me and it collapses to fit inside my truck, even with the camper shell on it, allowing for on-the-job transportation.

I like it... Very simply and easy. Great Job.
Ah! Portable tools are my favourite kind! I tend to be a lot on the move these few days and almost always being called to go and DO something for someone, or even just to do some quick repairs around my self storage facility. It's always good to be able to pack a bunch of reliable tools and equipment into the back of the car so it's easy to bring them to where you need to go. Makes for more organized storage when everything is nice and compact too!
This is wonderful
