Hiding a safe really well.
I replaced a customer’s lower level office vinyl floor with engineered wood. He had been hiding a floor safe beneath a scruffy old rug.
I installed the wood around it and then came back and meticulously build a door panel to fit the opening. I put a metal bar on the back of it so he can pick it up with a magnet….as long as you know just where to put the magnet. I also very carefully put spacers on the back so you can walk on it and never know it is removeable.
I used Wood Epox from Abatron for spacers. It is a very lightweight wood filler/replacer that I use for restorations.
