Remodeled Living/dining room to billiard room, new doors, new oak rail

Billiard room before/during makeover

These photos are from the same project. The HO wanted a total makeover of living/dining room area to become a billiard room. also replace all slab doors and replace with 6 panel doors (10 of them) and upgrade the metal/plastic handrail to oak with oak ballusters and newel post. Discovered the rail was secured to the drywall only so I had to insert 2×6 supports between studs and repair drywall. Removed all l/d room trim; paint two colours on walls BM Killarney Green and Radaccio; stain new oak baseboard and shoe, chair rail and casings and install. First time working with oak and first time cutting, fitting and installing oak rail etc. HO said “masterful” That’s all I wanted to hear! Doing more work for this HO next month.
