Remodeled for the Shab family, this master bathroom went from traditional to contemporary with new stained black, rift oak vanities, Grohe fixtures, brushed alum. mirror frames, heated 16×16 gray and charcoal tile, a soaking tub, new lighting, and disappearing medicine cabinets.
The huge whirlpool and deck were removed and a 7 x 8 ft. two person shower “room” was created with Grohe body sprays, a rain shower head, 2 arm hinged, adj. shower heads, 2 handheld wands, 3 diverters, and 2-12×18 soap niches laid out to sink into the tile pattern.
The best part of this project was working with Gladys, the homeowner. She was very nice and really got in to the project. This is why I do this.

A soaking tub in front of the windows helped allot to fill in this massive bathroom.
We installed round, opaque, 1/4" glass panels on 2" chrome cylindrical spacers in front of the existing round windows, one above tub and one above toilet.
The existing 3 panel dbl. entry doors were replaced with 2 - 3/8" opaque glass doors mounted in a new rift oak door jam and trim to match cabinets. There are 2 dissapearing medicine cabinets on either side.
The toilet rm. pocket door was replaced with a very opaque glass full fiew door.
This space originally had a 3x4 shower and a small drywall closet on the left. We relocated the shower to the other side and added this make up desk cabinet with linen storage. The drawer on the right has an outlet for the hair dryer.
The flat screen TV is on a swivel.
I made the case out of prefinished clr. maple plywood and wrapped it rift oak panels.
The drawer fronts are solid rift oak mounted on 3/4" dovetailed maple drawers on Blum hidden drawer slides. The top is removable for (inevitable) repairs.
Since the cabinet is hanging on the wall, the back is 3/4" thick and strenthened to withstand a 16 yr. old hopping up on it.
Looks awsome, but shows any watersplash so you have to wipe down every time. The client was aware and fine with that from the begining.
