I built this p-40 airplane for my grandson, and Dee O’Gee was convinced it was built for him. When my grandson climbed in, the pup wanted it back. The plane is built of plywood and dimensional lumber. The seat cushion is made from surplus aircraft leather upholstering. I later added exhaust manifolds made from 1/2″ copper 45 degree elbows (6 on each side).

Looks like Dee O'Gee will have an advantage in neighborhood dog fights. Perhaps he could even join the Flying Tigers.
Your grandkid is a lucky Dee O'Gee to have a classic warplane and the ability to honestly say "Dog is my co-pilot."
Nice work. I hope you'll post an additional pic with the exhaust system installed.
Thanks, BobMc
Dee O' Gee says he's on board for dogfights, but no tigers....They're just CATS, y'know!!!!!
I've added the photo you requested, showing the exhaust manifolds, "Kill" flags and instrument panel, which is a photocopy of an original P-40 panel with minor mods.

Very Nice, Ron. Thank you for the second picture. (You are allowed three more on this post.)
Were you an aviator in the Air Force? I spent seven years ('66--'73) in the Navy flying the F-4 Phantom II.
I always had great respect for the WWII warbirds and their pilots and ground crews. You have certainly created a fitting testimonial to the P-40.
