JW Roofing was contracted to help with the restoration of a beautiful sixty-year-old home. The new owners wanted to do everything right and keep the historic look. We were asked to install mortar set handmade barrel tile. As we removed the old roof, we found that the roof deck had a dozen rotting boards that needed to be replaced because this old house had seen many years of neglect. Since the home had an exposed ceiling, we had to be as accurate as possible when choosing the lumber. Our roofing contractor drove to a specialty lumberyard known for having quality wood. Our roofing contractor then hand picked the very best boards and had them cut to match the existing boards. However, he did not stop there. He then custom blended stains to match the look of the sixty-year-old original ceiling.
