This was my first shed project. It is 10’x12′ and stands just over 11 feet tall at the ridge of the roof. The shed is built on a 4″ thick concrete slab, the dimensions for the structure were taken from a plan that I modified to add front and back gable overhangs and vented soffits. The gable vents were custom ordered to size, with the front gable vent being made from copper. I built the doors from cedar boards that I glued up and mounted on 8″ long hinges, and the siding is a pre-primed cedar clapboard siding that I stained with an oil-based acrylic opaque stain. The corner boards were made from cedar that I glued and nailed together. The gable and fascia boards are made of painted rough cedar. The shed is shingled with architectural asphalt shingles.

The storage shed looks very impressive under all that snow! And the red door is a nice touch too! Outdoor sheds are wonderful storage solutions if you have the garden space to build one and also fun home DIY projects if you have a bit of time to spare to get one constructed!
