I used to painfully install hooks and eyescrews with a screwdriver through the hole. Predrill an appropriate sized hole, and then mount a matching hook or open eye bolt onto your drill chuck. Hand tighten the eyescrew into the predilled hole, and hook on with your drill hook and install it in seconds!
