Our house has been a “pay as you go” construction job since we bought our lot in 1987. We built a large addition in 1998-9 and have been completing one room at a time ever since. in 2009-10 we completed the Master Bathroom. We built all of the cabnetry out of MDF. All of the MDF pieces were treated with CPES (Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer) before the carcasses were assembled with West System epoxy and painted with urethane paint. Since all of that was relatively inexpensive, we could afford counters and a complete shower surround of Corian. All of the floors and the wainscot were Crossville Ceramics porcelain tile with epoxy grout. We placed a custom built Ofuro on the far end of the shower pan. The hot tub filter, pump, and heater are hidden in a cabinet.

Looks nice, tell me about the ofuro. What is it made of? Did you build it or purchase it? Thanks. John.
