scrap plywood bench
I built this bench out of scrap plywood and throw away pieces. It is all 3″ wide strips. Glue, nails, and splicing; made a solid bench. The bench is under cover so its held together pretty good. It may be time to put some long screws in the sides since I did not interlace every board. Next time I will

Like this. Would be easy to just put those scraps away or even better, when you have a few go ahead and glue them up, set it aside until you get it all ready to go.
