Small, small, small…Extremely small (42 sq ft) bathroom that lacked cabinet or shelf space and no focal point. One saving grace was its high ceilings that were dropped to highlight the bath tub. Powerful but small Kohler power flush toilet was installed which was smaller than the existing toilet. Custom shelves in the shower, a small wall cabinet, and small shelf added much needed storage space. Instead of building a conventional chase around the plumbing stack in the corner of the bathroom, I built a column which added more character than a simple rectangular chase and took up less space. Lastly, I removed the hotwater baseboard and installed radiant heat between the joists since I had access to the basement. Again, a space saving option and a cozy one.
