Reassigning spaces improved the useable square footage in this home. With access to the garage thru the family room and the kitchen too small and family room too big, switching the spaces was a no brainer. As entertaining moves more and more to the kitchen, the fact that the new kitchen got a fireplace was an added bonus. Designed in the Arts and Crafts tradition, the mantel and all surrounding millwork and cabinetry is natural cherry.The hearth and surround is tumbled marble with marble mosaic accents.
