Built for clients requesting a traditional American country residence, this Colonial Revival Style home features classic yet restrained detailing. Four brick chimneys anchor the five-bay-wide central main block, while pediment dormers with arched windows embellish the wood shingle roof. Elegant side wings, porches, a breezeway, and a whimsical barn-like garage appear to have been developed over time, creating a classic New England feel.
While the front of the home dictates a prescribed overall form, the asymmetrical rear is well suited for a family who enjoys casual outdoor living and entertaining. Projecting side wings enclose the main terrace and provide porches for additional outdoor living.
Principal rooms retain a traditional classic elegance that corresponds with the front elevation. The continuous curved wood handrail at the entry staircase delivers an understated elegance to the entry hall and a befitting introduction to the remainder of the house. The dining and living rooms are set in a formal arrangement, each featuring a fireplace framed by elliptical arches joining the entry hall. A distinctive English-pub-inspired billiards room and adjoining paneled library feature a custom iron and brass spiral staircase leading to the wine cellar beneath. Comprising some 9,000 square feet, the house encourages an assortment of both formal and casual living and entertainment opportunities.

Five bays wide, the main block is anchored by four brick chimneys on a wood shingle roof that features pedimented dormers with arch windows. Stepped back side wings visually reduce the size of the house.
The main terrace at the rear of the house is enveloped by projecting side wings. The main block here features a projecting center bay with glass French doors covered by a segmental arch pediment and topped by a pedimented gable. Projecting onto the terrace at the left are three sides of the octagonal breakfast room with a balcony and nook above.
The custom designed stairway forms a graceful curve over the arched opening leading to the entry foyer.
Viewed through an elliptical arch in the entry hall, the dining room has a classically designed fireplace and ceiling cornice.
The kitchen has an elegance and simplicity of design that makes this spacious room comfortable yet functional. As with the rest of the interiors, the design and detailing of the kitchen maintains a transitional Colonial style. Well laid out, the kitchen features a center island anchored by an exquisite butcher block countertop. Marble countertops and ceiling height cabinets provide ample work and storage space.
