Bamboo fencing looks great, and compliments any landscape. But like all woods, bamboo fencing absorbs water. This can result in decomposition in the form of rot over the years. By installing your bamboo fencing with a few inches of space from the ground, you can prevent some water absorption.
I have always had a liking for bamboo as I think it is really ideal not only for fencing, but for many other furniture pieces as well. It looks really exotic and unique as compared to the common wood we often see around being used for these household items. Furthermore, it requires low maintenance making it all the more attractive.
