My mother-in-law, who owns 6 cats, asked me if there was anything I could build so her cats could enjoy the outdoors and still remain perfectly safe. After going over several ideas, the “Cat Ranch” is what we came up with. The structure is 15′ X 30′ with a Tufftex smoke polycarbonate corrugated roof. The walls have a 24″ high knee-wall wrapped in Cabot California Gold Ledgestone. The upper walls are wrapped in Kittyfence 650 poly mesh material to let air pass through, but keeps the cats safely inside. I built a 14″ wide cat walk all around the interior with ramps, steps and even a rope wrapped pole for climbing. The cats seem to love their new enclosure, and more importantly, so does my mother-in-law!

This is awesome. I have never seen anything like this. What a great way to keep the cats safe and happy but still let them enjoy the fresh air. Nice job.
Great idea! I have had neighbors who don't like animals. I this is a perfect way to keep your cats indoors. We however got fencing fixed but ....I think this is great idea for dogs also.
