How to repair that dent in your hard wood
Have you ever dented a cabinet or a any hard wood material? All you have to do is heat up a clothes iron and get a damp rag ready. Once the iron is hot, just place the damp rag over the “dent” and iron away. Check on the wood every 5 seconds or so in case of possible damage to color or finish. The steam created will “pull” the dent back to near flush. Of coarse the size of the divit and the type of wood all are factors. I have done this on three seperate ocassions and it has returned the material back to 85-95% original. Maybe not perfect, but beats the alternative.
Closet built in oak was dented during construction with a hammer claw in tool belt....pulled the majority of dent out with hot iron and damp rag.
