Fireplace
I have recycled a corner fireplace headed for the landfill It was originally a dark cherry mantel with a brass electric insert. Some fresh paint and new mouldings did the trick. It has a remote control and heats the living room of this 80 year old house. Was a fun project and required replicating original moulding and ensuring a tight fit to make it appear as if it has always been part of the house. Interesting that the chimmney is also located in the same corner. This now adds some additional heat and a focal point to the room.
