The project consists of a new, relocated kitchen within the context of a whole house remodel. The desire of the client was to inject a modern feel within the context of the traditional New England home. The highlight of the new modern kitchen is the recycled island. The island is constructed of existing rafters saved from the removal of the roof at another section of the project. The color and texture offer a complimentary contradiction to the strerile modern look of the new kitchen.
