When our detail oriented client and her husband purchased a historic seasonal camp on the lake, their requests were to: expand the program area while maintaining strict local setbacks, open each room up to extraordinary light and views of the site, create wonderful spaces of refuge for themselves and their family of three young boys, modernize the mechanical, electrical and insulation systems, and completely refurbish the interior décor using shades of gray on every wooden surface – there was no drywall used in the entire project. Due to chemical sensitivities, all building products were researched for benign qualities.
