The gates shown here were designed to blend in with the surrounding hillside. The gates are fabricated from stainless tube stock and acid etched copper sheet. The gates get their shear strength from perforated steel sheets welded to the frame. Special care was taken prevent galvanic corrosion between the dissimilar metals. The gates are coated with a special ceramic nano clear coat. Due to the design complexity, full size templates were created from CAD models. Fabrication was done by Diane Stendahl and Cody Munier of Damolasi.com
