Keeping true to the neighborhood’s woodsy beauty and funky charm, Santa Barbara-based design build firm, Becker Studios, built anew a 1956 home devastated by fire.To protect against future fires, Becker Studios fire-proofed the home using cutting-edge, fire-resistant Tri-D panels for the framing, challenging them to build in a completely new way.
They kept the original footprint but created an energy-efficient home with radiate heating and modern comforts. Using natural materials, they replicated the original Great Room complete with massive stone fireplace, cozy grotto and soaring ceiling. For a sophisticated rustic feel evoking the spirit of the previous home, concrete floors, reclaimed oak beams, glass and iron were seamlessly intertwined with found treasures such as a 19th century Japanese gate.

That sunset view is definitely something that your estate agents are going to be showcasing when they put your house up for sale my man. That's a gorgeous view that you're not going to get in just any home!
