In the midst of the Revolutionary war, John Edwards, erected a charming stone farmhouse, high on an earthen mound overlooking his lush 300 acre estate. Over two centuries later, the prominent farmer’s colonial three bay home remained, perched atop the same Delaware County hill and rising above the meandering Ridley Creek. Despite centuries of wear, tear and unfortunate neglect, a new family, intuitively recognized the home’s potential. Compelled to discover the secrets buried beneath the home’s horrific renovations, the current homeowner sought to create a shared legacy between past and present by renovating this 1776 treasure.
Restoring the home’s original character was of paramount importance, while discreet integration of the latest 21st century amenities allowed this family to thrive. Colonial details were unearthed or recreated, upholding the home’s rich heritage, and special care was taken to resurrect the original spirit John Edwards intended.

I simply love the stone farmhouse concept in the bedroom. It looks really cozy and homely and is the perfect ambience you would want your resting area to be. I would definitely get my estate agent to go scout for a similar layout for the few houses that I will be viewing later in the week. I hope to move into a really welcoming place that I could call home.
Incredible work
