This project worked within the walls of the existing 1939 Bungalow’s former kitchen, but greatly expanded it’s function, style and capacity.
The countertop is bamboo flooring remenants laid up like buthcer block, then templated and fabricated into the countertop. A local Shipwright turned carpenter finshed the bamboo surface like a ship to take any water abuse the Owner inflicts on it.
The deep kitchen sink sits in a 5′ wide slab of carrera marble.
