I was stuck for a way to store my two Japanese saws in my toolbox. They usually wound up o the bottom with all sorts of hard objects piled on top of them. Then I saw the cheap miter box that I had to buy one day to fix a piece of trim… turns out it fits the ryoba saw perfectly, and the dozuki nests in right on top. A scrap piece of 3/4″ plywood wedged in seals it off, keeping the saws in place. As an added bonus, when I need to use the miter box with the backed dozuki, it builds up the height so that it works perfectly. I could have spent hours building a custom carrier, but why bother when this works so well?
