This bathroom is in a 1970’s “modern” style home and I suppose the motel style bathrooms were trendy back then. It was complete with a lavatory room attached to the bedroom and sharing its wall to wall carpeting. From there you go through a door to a small bathroom with a shower, toilet, and another small vanity. Through another door you could enter the small walk-in closet. Changing the footpint was not practical for several reasons so after a lot of concept iterations we settled on this design. What really makes it work in such a small footprint is the 45 degree angles on the cabinets and the shower. The other key was moving the door that accesses the walk-in closet from the bathroom to the bedroom.
