The mansard roof was really dated the house, and the interior spaces were dark, tiny and disconnected. It needed a fresh vision for open informal living.
The entire main floor was gutted and opened up. We tore down walls, and added terraces, gardens, outdoor dining and cooking spaces.
We created a killer garage workshop for Dad and a great playroom for the kids with a climbing wall and loft. And the whole house, has a spa like feel for Mom.
Along the edges, we made floor to ceiling storage, paneled in walnut, and kept the plan open, with a fantastic 14′ long kitchen island as the central gathering and work space.
