The goal was to fit the kitchen seamlessly into the overall modern design, provide outstanding views that the rest of the home enjoys, and blend details from designer furniture with details in the cabinetry. And of course provide entertainment around a prep space. We raised the kitchen level of the home 3 feet above the living, and built a large entertaining island with details matching the owners’ Italian dining table. All the cabinetry was moderately priced yet completely custom using birch veneer to match the birch highlights throughout the home. A butler’s pantry adds to the ease of prep from coffee & toast to cocktails & snacks.
