As a remodeler with a masters degree in architecture, I’m always looking for the right aesthetic with relation to my clients. No better was it achieved than with this kichen located in West Linn, Oregon. What is unique and that can appeal to readers is the way the different materials come together and play off each other. From the rift oak ou er cabinets playing off the stained walnut island and office area, it works. The reclaimed barn wood that serves as a backdrop to the stained walnut shelving brings and actual modern feel. The cantilevered walnut butcher block anchored by the steel C-channel brace gives it an edgy look that brings the hard edge island to the gentle “S” curve of wood to honed granite. It truly is a kitchen “Bringing It All Together”.
