This Bathroom project was part of a renovation and addition for clients in need of more space for their growing family. By reconfiguring an existing office, we gave them a new master bedroom and bathroom with laundry utilities on the main floor, with a 3′ wide hallway connecting the existing home to the new master bedroom. Careful space planning allowed us to create a highly functional space that will mitigate the inconvenience of traveling down an old staircase to do laundry in the basement and also the morning traffic jam in the bathroom.

This new wall has a centered pocket door to maximize usable floor space. The door opens into a new hallway (which was part of the old office) which leads to the master bedroom.

This spacious shower has a bench seat and shampoo niche (not shown). The color variations will prevent noticeable iron spotting.

Careful planning allows for a highly functional and efficient space with room for a (energy star rated) stackable washer and dryer.

An existing storage nook received an upgrade to become more user-friendly and accessible. Two large shelves on pull out slides allow the clients to utilize this once awkward space.
