The master bathroom in this 1953 Midcentury Modern home in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood was cramped and dark and still had the original outdated finishes and fixtures. The original shower was three feet by three feet, and the wall-mounted sink didn’t provide any counter space or storage. The owner wanted to utilize the space more efficiently. As part of an overall update to the house we created a large new master bath with a vibrant spa-like feel, replacing the post-war design with contemporary Pacific Northwest style.
