I’m often frustrated to find that the dispensing tip on bottles of glue or other materials I’m trying to use is clogged. I have to remove the cap and use a sharp object and/or needle nosed pliers to remove the hardened material. For me this seems to occur the most with wood glue and thread locking compound. For the last few years now I’ve improved things greatly with a simple change of habit. Now when I pick up a bottle, after uncapping and before I invert it, I squeeze it a bit first to force some of the air out of the container. Without releasing my grip I then use it normally by tipping it and applying additional pressure to the sides. Then, when I set it upright again and release my grip any product left in the tip is pulled back into the container. I re-seal the container and its good to go for the next time.
