Inspiration for this home was drawn from the idea of “Southern Hospitality.” Every aspect of the interior evokes quaint beauty and charm. From the wood butcher-block island to unadorned trim and painted brick, the house feels like an old-fashioned cottage transformed for future generations. We intended for the home to feel like a friendly oasis with a coastal design. White wood paneling contrasts with natural wood tones, and the intimate family room is accessorizes with coral, shells, and a pulley. The open concept kitchen features industrial pendants and an old-world bronze faucet. Pizza paddles adorn the wall as art. The master bedroom is separated from the entertaining areas, located at the back of the home. Wicker pendants dropped over the nightstands add decoration and ambient light beside the canopy bed. A distressed barn door leads into the master bath, which showcases a statement coral chandelier, craftsman style grey cabinets, and beautiful Carrara marble. A delightful touch to this cottage is a potting room, which provides abundant opportunities for any gardening enthusiast or adventurous craftsman. Complete with a farmhouse sink and storage for tools, planters, flowers, and watering cans, this room truly accentuates southern charm. The playful kids’ room features a bright surfboard, two twin beds, and a wooden platform—creating a unique hide and seek spot!
