The house was built in the 1840’s so needed some work to bring up to current codes. The kitchen was a decent size but at the front of the house toward the street, with no views and away from the living spaces. Didn’t want a totally open concept (as the house would not have had that) but kitchen was moved to make it more centrally located. Made a large, paneled opening toward the front of the property to take advantage of the water views.
