If you’re planning to install backer board, tile, wood, etc. around a toilet flange, and you showed up to work and forgot your compass, here’s a layout tool for a typical 7-1/4” toilet flange. It’s all in the packaging of a Diablo 6.5-in. saw blade.
To layout: measure each side of the toilet flange side to side and front to back, draw a square and draw an x from each corner to find the center. Place the plastic blade package on center and trace. You’ll get a 7-1/4” circle, slightly over-sized, that will allow wiggle room for a perfect fit.
